Blog Hop with Couture Creations & Core'dinations

Congrats Card by Bridget Louw

Hi Bridget here and I am so excited to show you the card I made using The Whitewash Collection by Core’dinations and some of the exquisite dies from Couture Creations.

The card base measures 7” x 10” scored at 5”
The next layer measures 4 ¾” x 6 ¾”
The layer that gets torn measures 4 ½” x 6 ½”
Some lace gets glued between layer 2 and 3 to stick out between the torn bits.

The birdcage was cut on the Silhouette Cameo and the machine LOVED the Whitewashed papers, cut them beautifully.
Using the Couture Creations Fleur de Frame Die Set (C0723050) cut one piece from the same paper.

The Couture Creations Sanding Block (C0723060) worked beautifully to accentuate the details on the die and gave the birdcage a light distressing.

The Core’dinations Dust Buddy lifted all the sanded dust up, ensuring that the pieces glued down very well.

I stuck the die cut down using Foam Mounting Tape (C0721963) for added dimension.

I then glued all the pieces down, stamped my sentiment and embellished with matching flowers.

Monochromatic Layout

Monochromatic Layout by Bridget Louw

Hi Bridget here again with a monochromatic which showcases the stunning Couture Creations dies and embossing folders.

I started by cutting 16 pieces from the 3rd smallest die from the Nesting Dies: Victorian Square (C0723048) from white cardstock
I used a variety of embossing folders to emboss the die cuts.

Once this was completed I drew a grid with 16 blocks on my 12x12” paper to ensure I laid the die cuts down evenly. I used Double Sided Tape (C0721984) to stick the die cuts down.

I cut 3 flowers from the Fresh Flower die (C0723422) to use as decoration.
I mounted 3 photos on another piece of white card and stuck it down using Foam Mounting Tape (C0721963) for added dimension.

Ribbon below the photos adds a pretty touch as well as some glittery letters and butterflies from my stash.

Christmas In June

Christmas in June Card by Bridget Louw

Hi Bridget here again with another quick and easy project to make, using an array of wonderful Couture Creations products.

Every year I do the mad Christmas Card rush and promise myself “next year I will star earlier”, so this is my year to get the cards started early.

The card measurements are:
Cream Cardstock:
Base piece measures 5.5” x 11” scored at 5 ½”
Aqua Cardstock: Square 5 3/8”
Patterned Paper: Square 5 ¼”

From the Nesting Dies: Scalloped Oval (C0723045) I cut the 2nd largest scalloped oval twice from cream cardstock. Using the Nesting Dies: Oval (C0723044) I cut the 3rd largest oval, out of one of the previously cut scalloped ovals to create the window for the shaker window. Using a piece of acetate and Nesting Dies: Oval (C0723044) I cut one oval from the 2nd largest oval. Stamp an image and colour it for the background of your shaker box.
Glue the acetate window to the frame.

Slit a piece of the Foam Mounting Tape (C0721963) down to create 2 narrow strips to put all around the window.
Remove the tape backing and carefully sprinkle glitter in the shaker box. Stick down the coloured image.

Using the gorgeous Blossom die from the Fantasia Collection I cut out a doily from kraft paper.

I stuck down all the card pieces mentioned above.

Added a few Christmas leaves and berries, stamped a tiny Christmas sentiment and put my oval shaker box down. In no time at all my first Chritsmas card was ready to go.
